The lake Alta slabs are home to many routes in the 3-4 pitch grade 13-16 range. Great for climbers who want to spend some quiet time on the rock enjoying a quality route but don't want to be up early and be out all day!

A guide favourite is "When the Fat lady Sings" grade 15.

Approach is via the Lake Alta hike, around the lake and up to the bottom of the buttress.

An easy descent via abseil brings you back to the bottom of the route.

This route is suitable to climbers with a basic knowledge of rope skills and a good leave of fitness!
